Sukiya Living Magazine (JOJG) Encyclopedia & Pronunciation Guide If you hope to understand the Sukiya Living Tradition it helps to understand a few Japanese terms. Each year JOJG publishes an extended article that provides definitions, pronunciations, and kanji characters for the most helpful Japanese words and phrases. JOJG's most recent Encyclopedia & Pronunciation Guide included the entries listed below. These terms were carefully chosen after statistically examining all 60 back issues to determine which Japanese words are most commonly used in JOJG articles. Most of these words do not have an English-language equivalent, and that is why they are used so often rather than substituting an English word in their place. 1. Adachi 2. Chanoyu 3. Engawa 4.
